One more month

Man, I've really enjoyed my summer as mr mom! I can't believe I only have about a month left. I'm going to try and convince Kris to let me be mr mom permanately, haha!

I have a little 2 day orientation at the end of July, and then start school on August 1st. I had to buy a book for this orientation, and have assignments that are due then. I can't believe I have homework already, it has been so long, ha.

Kris is really enjoying her job. We also love her being back on days. We think she may even get to to 7 am to 7 pm soon, which is more normal for nurses. She did tell me yesterday though, when her year is up, she may look into going back to ICU. She likes the er, but there are certain things she doesnt like.

Anthony is doing great, he is such a blessing. He has finally started holding his own bottle which is really helpful. He isn't crawling yet, but is rolling everywhere. Still no teeth, but mom said neither Erin (my sister) or I started teething until at least a year.

These are just a few random pics I took today. This outfit came from the kids store that my mom and sister run, and we just thought he was adorable in it! love to all :)

Well, here it is almost June. I just can't believe how fast time is going. The weather has turned warm and is beautiful. Anthony and I try to spend a little bit of time outside every day, he loves it.

I am really enjoying staying at home. I'd like to convince Kris to let it be permanent, haha! It does get boring sometimes and I try to find little things to get me out of the house every now and then, but overall, I LOVE it.

Little Anthony is growing like a weed. He's a chunk weighing in at around 22 pounds, last count. He's cooing and giggling and making all kinds of noise. My favourite is probably when he sighs! He's not crawling yet, nor does he have any teeth, but he's rolling around all over the place.

Kris is REALLY enjoying her job. Even more so now that she's days. I love having her home at night. I could never sleep when she was at work. We're having a great time. We bought a tent this last week, mainly for our family reunion, but we're looking forward to putting it to good use this summer.

I have A lot of pics to upload. They are all of random things. Some are from our trip to Ruidoso and some are just random shots or Anthony. We recently painted the inside of the house, I haven't got any pics yet, but hope to get some soon.

Time

Where does the time go? I'm telling you as I get older, it seems to go really fast. I feel like I just updated this blog and yet it has really been weeks, ha! Warm weather has arrived in Lubbock and it's great. Having worked outside, I typically don't like cold weather, ha! But spring and summer have arrived and it's great.

For the first time ever, Kris and I have been busy in the front and back garden. It's great owning your own home. We've been raking leaves, pulling weeds all sorts of fun things getting ready for the growing season. We're going to get some solar power lights for the front, and plant some petunias as well. We will see if I have a green thumb or not, ha. We're also thinking about growing a little vegetable garden in the back yard.

We have a screened in porch on the back and are really enjoying it as well. It houses my grill so I'm spending a lot of time out there with little Anthony. We probably grill something every other day. We love a good steak and some marinated chicken, ha.

We recently took a trip to Ruidoso, New Mexico with my parents and had a great time. We're thinking about purchasing a vacation home there so are looking forward to that. I have lots of pictures to post but unfortunately, I left my camera and haven't been able to post them :(

And as y'all know, I recently quit my job and am now mr mom until I start school in August. It's a lot of fun most of the time, ha. Sometimes, after the house is clean and there's nothing else to do, I get a bit bored. But, I'm going to try and look into volunteering somewhere to get out of the house.

Kris is doing really well and loving her job. She starts days week after next which we are really looking forward to. Little Anthony is also doing well. HE's getting so big, I need to share some photos. He's started rolling back and forth which is fun watching. Accept we can't leave him anywhere, ha.

2 Weeks Notice

Wow, where does the time go? You would think with all the time I spend on the computer I would update my blog more often. I enjoy reading everyone else's blog, but hate updating my own, ha. I don't even know if anybody reads my blog anymore, maybe I should just delete it!

The last month or so has been crazy. Papa passed away and his funeral was in Abilene just about 2 weeks ago. What a beautiful funeral it was. It was definitely a tribute to him and the life he lived. I am honoured to have known him. Please continue to pray for the family, we are still struggling!

Anthony is now 7 months, can you believe it? We had his appointment a few weeks ago and all is well. He's 20 pounds, hat's all i can remember. Y'all know I'm horrible with details! We have a lot of pictures to post so I will try and get those on soon.

Kris and I both celebrated our 30th birthdays this year, so we planned a trip to Oregon. Kris's teamate, Andrea, lives up there and we stayed with her an her family. We had a lot of fun. Oregon is beautiful. Again, I'll post pics when I'm home.

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about a surprise, and here it is. I have decided to leave Southwest and go to LVN school. Lvn's are just below an RN but above a CNA. I'm really excited but also scared. I start school in August, and it's a 12 month program.

I can't believe it still. But, I'm turning in my 2 week notice at work today. I've loved working for Southwest, it has been a great job.

Well, guess that's about it for now. I promise to try and get some pics up soon :)

Prayers please

After a quick but painful battle with lung cancer, we just received word today that Kris's Papa isn't going to make it. The dr came by this morning and said they are stopping all treatment, so it's just a matter of time.

All prayers would be greatly appreciated during this time of loss. We know he's going to a far better place, we're all just really going to miss him. Kris is getting some rest, she worked last night, and then were heading on to Abilene.

Sick, Sick, and more Sick

I am SO sorry that it has taken me so long to update my blog. My only excuse is that, as the title says, we have all been sick. This post will also be quick because I'm at work as I write this. I'll try and post something from home soon so I can upload some pictures of Anthony. I just wanted to let everyone know we are alive.

Poor little Anthony has been sick since Christmas. He has an old man cough, every time he coughs he hacks up a long. We've been to the dr probably once a week for the past several weeks. Nothing can really be done for him. However, he is finally starting to get better.

Kris and I have also taken turns on being sick. We've had allergies, sinus, and just bad colds. We wonder if some of it is coming from Krissi's working in the ER. It usually takes sometime for her body to build up and become immune, which probably hasn't happened yet.

Speaking of Kris's job, she really is enjoying it. She seems to be getting along with everyone, and really likes them for the most part. The job is very different from ICU, some good ways and some bad ways. The only real complain we have about her job is the hours. She's still 7pm to 7 am. Please be praying that she will go days soon.

My job continues to go well. We're loosing a couple of flights this spring, but everything is great. Everyone always says they hear Southwest is a good company to work for, and it really is. However, I do have some exciting news to share and will be sharing that when the time is right. (no, we're not pregnant again. I would totally pass out this time).

I guess that about sums up what's been happening in our lives the past month or so. Can you believe our little one (who's really not that little anymore, he's a chunk) will be 6 months this month? That's crazy. I will really will try to post some pics soon, so keep checking. Love to all and God bless :)

4 months

Well, believe it or not, our little fellow is 4 months old! WOW! We've been parents for four months! It's been one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. I love our little boy. No matter how bad of a day I'm having, all I have to do is pick him up and get him to smile and it's all better!

One of our favourite things is seeing the daily changes in Anthony. He has starting turning onto his side now, causing constant supervision to make sure he doesn't roll over and hurt himself, or fall off something. He's found his hands and is always staring at them. He's also picked up the art of grabbing! He now grabs his mamas hair, and anything within reach (like a plate full of food,ha)! He has also started cooing and talking now. It's SO cute!

We had our 4 month check up with Dr. Scott yesterday and he said everything looks great. Hearing that really made us feel good. Sometimes, I wonder if we're doing things right and of course how we could improve. But, hearing that our little boy is right on schedule really made me feel good. He did, however, get 3 shots yesterday. But, I think daddy cried more than he did!

Here's the 411 on his digits! He weighs 16 pounds 11 ounces and is in the 80th percentile in weight. He's 26 inches (I nearly said feet, haha) long and is in the 75th percentile there. His head circumfrence is 42 centimeters and he's in the 50th percentile there. What an incredible little boy!

God certainly has blessed us beyond anything we could have hoped for or imagined! Love you guys and hope all is well :)

Man, time is flying by. I can hardly believe we're half way through January, and I haven't blogged since December, ha!

This month, Kris celebrated her 30th birthday! I can't believe my wife is 30. We've known each other for over 10 years now, and I love her just as much if not more today, than I did then. We celebrated by booking a room at a local bed and breakfast. Mom kept Anthony for the night, so we had a really great time.

Guess that's the biggest thing that's happened this month! Love to all and will try to do better at blogging in the future!

Sick

Kris and Anthony are sick, poor things. The family in Abilene were all sick over Christmas and apperantly it all got passed around. Hopefully I don't get it.

Anyways, I'm sorry I don't have any pictures. Anthony spent his first Christmas being sick! Hopefully next year will be better and we'll get some great second Christmas pictures, ha!

I hope everyone had a great holiday and I'm looking forward to a new year! New beginnings are always great for me, whither I make any resolutions or not! :)

We've Arrived!

Well, we're a little late, but we've finally arrived into the 21st century. Or is it the 22 century now, I've lost count, ha.

Kris tries to keep our life simple, but I always complicate it, ha! We recently purchased a sony laptop! I'm excited about it and have taken it everywhere so I can always sign online, ha!

Also, we're finally getting cable! Well, Dish network really. The installers are here as we speak bringing us into the future. We thought with babsitters coming over a lot now, me wanting it, it would be great to have! We're also getting that dvr thing so we can pause live tv and record our favourite shows!

Yay for the 21st or 22 century, whichever it is! Love to all and Merry Christmas :)

All Alone

Kris's dad recently had triple bypass surgery, so Kris and Anthony went to Abilene for the weekend. He is doing much better and is in fact going home today. I am very grateful for that, and praise God for a successful surgery.

I do however, miss Kris and Anthony. Call us cheesy if you want, but I hate being alone now that I'm married and have a son, ha! It's like I can't function properly at the house. Thank goodness we have a dog or I'd really be in trouble, ha!

I'm sitting at work as I write this. Our first flight was delayed until 3, so I have been doing nothing since noon and getting paid for it, ha! Who wouldn't want a job like that!

Date Night

Kris and I haven't been out to the movies since before Anthony was born, so tonight, Honey and Pops (my mom and dad), and Aunt Erin (my sister), baby sat so we could go out on a date. We had a WONDERFUL time.

Monday night is family night at Carrino's, so you get 2 entrees for the price of one, plus soup or salad for $1.95. It was delicious, the soup was especially good because it was nice and warm, and the weather is a little frightful in Lubbock tonight. I can't remember the name of the movie we saw, but it was really good.

Date nights are always nice, but even more so when you have a kid! We thank God for grandparents and Aunts, ha :) Anyways, here's a few pics we snapped today. Love to all

Blogging Break

Wow,I didn't realize it had been SOOO long since I've blogged. It's amazing how much of your time is monopolized when you have a baby. And we just have one, I couldn't imagine having more than one!

A LOT has happened since my last blog. I'll try to remember and highlight most of it. Let's see, in the last 6 weeks we've made 4 different trips to Abilene, and one to Ruidoso. Our first trip was because we hadn't been since Anthony was born, our next trip was for Thanksgiving, our third trip was for JJ and Ashley's wedding, and our last trip was because Scott is having heart problems. Also during this time, Kris and I celebrated 2 years of marriage! Can you believe it? All in a good way, but we both feel as though it has been a lot longer. Maybe because we've been friends for SOOO long!

Our precious boy Anthony is doing well. He's gotten SOO big. He's a little chunk. He's smiling, cooing, developing an incredible personality. No matter how busy or bad my day has been, he can always make it better when he smiles!

I'll really try to do better with my blogging. Infact, I'll blog more soon but am really tired, we just got back from Abilene. Scott, Kris's dad, is having triple bipass on Monday. Please pray for the surgery and for a quick and easy recover. Also, Kris starts work tomorrow night. She's nervous about starting work in the ER and about leaving me and Anthony. Please also keep her in your prayers.

I've got a lot of pics to post from the last several weeks. Several, of course, are of Anthony. Some is of our cabin in Ruidoso, some is of our different trips to Abilene, one or two is of the beautiful tree in our front yard, and a couple are of our new van! Kris got a job in the Emergency room at UMC in Lubbock! She starts Dec. 8th. It's not exactly what we wanted, she got nights instead of days. She'll work from 7pm to 7 am, but only 3 days a week!

Please be praying for us as we try workig things out for babysitting, etc. Also, Kris is alreay nervous about leaving Anthony. Especially with working nights, things are going to be flipped even on her days off, so please be praying for us.

It's also going to be more difficult for us to see each other. She's going to try and work my days off so I can stay home with Anthony. We're both worried about how this is going to affect our marraige. We're going to give it a trial run and see how it goes so please be praying for us!

Also, we bought a mini van! That's right, Kris and I are mini van parents now. There just wasn't room enough in our Saturn. We went to Abilene last week, and with all the baby stuff we had we were overflowing! Also, because the car seat was in the back seat, the passenger's knees were in the dash board.

We keep making fun of our selves, calling each other old! And calling each other soccer parents. It's pretty funny now because we have all sorts of room. Little Anthony has the whole back of the mini van all to himself, ha!

Already quit

Well, I've already quit my partime job, ha. It was too hard working two jobs with a new baby. I did however, pick up several extra shifts at Southwest so that will be nice. Kris had an interview last Thursday in the ER at UMC in Lubbock. We haven't heard anything yet so please be praying for her!

Man, time is flying by. We can't believe we have a 6 week old son! It's great though. We love him more and more every day. We have some new pictures to post, but I'm at work and can't get to them righ now. I'm off the next couple of days though so I'll try to get them posted.

Things are going well. Anthony weighed 9 pounds today! We couldn 't believe it. He's getting SO big and is really starting to fill out now. It's great because he can fit into more of his clothes, ha!

He has started sleeping better at nights too. We can usually get a good solid 3-4 hours a night now. We've started putting him in the bassinett in the living room leaving ouor door open so we can hear when he cries, which is nice. Every time he turned we'd wake up and make sure he was ok, so we were getting even less sleep. Ok, well I'll confess, Kris was getting less sleep. I can sleep through anything, ha :)

They just called my flight in range so I'd better go. I will try and get those pic's posted sometime tomorrow so keep checking! We love you guys--Beau

Part time Job

Y'all know Kris isn't working right now, which is great. But we've had to rely heavily on our savings which is starting to dwindle, ha! Therefore, I've gotten a partime job.

I got a job at the food court in the airport! Today was my first day, and it went really well. I've never done anything like this before so its fun and exciting right now, ha!

Please be praying for us as we adjust to this new schedule. Poor Kris has to be up more at night so I get rest, and is home alone more now. We love being parents though and wouldnt trade our precious boy for anything :)

Well, he's 2 weeks old! We can't believe that we've made it this far,ha! He's still our precious boy though, and we love him.

The last few nights have been kind of rough. Last night he slept 30 minutes every hour and was hungry all night. He'd doing better though and we think starting to gain some! Here are some pics. Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts, and encouragement. We appreciate it :)

Lactation Consultants

We had our meeting with the lactation consultants at Covenant today. It went really well. They were very very encouraging, and willing to do all they could to help us out.

We took their advice and pumped every 2 hours and also subbed in some formula. Praise God because Anthony had gained 2 ounces!

They also had Kris nurse in front of them. After watching her nurse and answering some questions, they decided Kris isn't producing enough milk, and Anthony isn't sucking very well. They are working with us and gave us some great suggestions.

We have an appointment with our pediatrician tomorrow and another appointment with the lactation consultants on friday. Rebecca wants to get Anthony back up to his birth weight in the next couple of days.

I want to thank you all for your prayers, your encouragement, and all your suggestions. Please continue to pray for Kris and for Anthony!

Weight

Covenant Lakeside (where we had Anthony) offers a weight clinic every Monday morning. We took Anthony in this morning to get him weighed and to our dismay, he'd lost about a pound. He was 6 14 when he was born and today he was 5 15.

The lactation consultant immediately sat us down and went over some options with us. We rushed out and rented a breast pump and Kris has been pumping. He just got done eating that and sucked it down. The lactation consultant set up a meeting with us tomorrow morning to watch him feed. They even talked about supplementing some formula.

Please be praying for us. Being the good mother that she is, Kris took the news that he wasn't getting enough pretty hard. She feels like she should have known he wasn't getting enough. Please pray for Krissi, and also for Anthony. After eating the pumped milk now he's doing great.

Anthony William Lynn Hart

We truly have the most precious baby! I just can't get enough of him. God truly has blessed Kris and I with an amazing child.

It's amazing to me the lessons I have already learned from him. First of all, he's taught me unconditional love. As aforementioned, he does nothing for me at all, but I love him all the same. Secondly, he's teaching me patience. I'm ready for him to stop crying, to sleep nights, to start talking so I know what he's thinking. These things will come in time, Kris keeps telling me! Well, I'm ready for that time, ha.

Thirdly, he's teaching me so much more about God and my relationship with God. One of the greatest things about being a Dad is how much I love him, want to protect him, and want him to love me as well. Aren't these some of the same things God wants from us? How anyone can go through a pregnancy and not believe in God is beyond me.

Some of the things I love most about my son are seeing him in his mother's arms. Kris really is one of the best mothers. I love seeing her hold him, hum to him, rock him, and feed him.

I love having the ability to calm him, quiet his tears just by picking him up in my arms. I love when he wraps his entire hand around my index finger. I love the different expressions he makes. I love when he sighs and when he gets the hiccups!

All in all, Kris and I can't thank God enough for the gift of our son. Forgive me for rambling on so, I just wanted to share with everyone how wonderful our son is and how much I'm enjoying being a dad!

People keep asking me what I think about being a dad so far. The only word I can come up with is amazing.

Several things are amazing. Besides Anthony himself, which we think is perfect in every way, just everything about being a dad is amazing. It amazes me how much I love this little guy who does nothing for me. I mean seriously, all he does is eat, sleep, poop, and pee. Yet, I love him unconditionally.

It's amazing how much my love for God and Krissi have changed through my love for Anthony. It's hard to put into words but other parents will know what I mean I'm sure. I just can't get enough of my son. I love kissing him, cuddling with him, singing with him. Every breath, every movement is a miracle to me.

Anyways, enough cheesyness I guess. Just wanted to let everyone know how much I love being a dad :)

Let me just start out by bragging on Krissi. She is such a trooper, I think I love her more and more every day. She never ceases to amaze me with her strength!

She woke me up Wednesday morning about 7:30 telling me she thought her water broke. She'd been up about an hour having some contractions. We started timing them, they got to about 10 minutes apart with increasing pain on each one.

Having previously decided to labor at home as long as we could, we called family put them on stand by and continued counting contractions. In the meantime, we both showered (which I got in the shower, turned it on, and promptly realized I forgot to take my underwear off) and packed.

The contractions started getting closer together and tougher with each one. We considered calling the Dr to see what he thought we should do when she had several within 5 minutes apart. We hurriedly packed her bag and drove to the hospital.

It was about 9 15 when we got to the hospital. We filled out some paperwork and they took her to a room and checked her. She was already dilated to a 4! They immediately got her into a room and we were off.

The contractions continued to increase in time and severity. They checked her again at 11 and she was a 7. She decided to get the epidural at this point and boy am I glad she did.

Things progressed from there and Anthony was born at 227 pm weight 6 pounds 14 ounces and 20.5 inches long. We had a little scare with the umbilical cord getting wrapped around and almost had to have a c-section, but Kris and Anthony pulled through!

God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Anthony William Lynn Hart. He's named after me, dad, and Krissi's brother n law who passed away a year ago that day! Thanks for all your prayers, mom and baby are great :)

week 38

Well, we've made it to week 38 with no changes. We had a dr.'s appointment today. He checked her and no change. We've scheduled an enduction for the 30th of September, two weeks from today. We're still hoping that he may come early, but Dr. Blann isn't too hopeful. He's even told her she may have to come in Monday night to get cervidil.

She's definitely starting to feel 9 months pregnant. She's the biggest she has been the whole pregnancy. We're not sleeping nights. The little sleep she gets are full of nightmares. She dreams we haven't fed the baby for days, or that the babies were switched and we don't have our baby.

Please be praying for her. She's a trooper, but dreads sleep, ha! We love y'all!

Kris and I have been busy bees getting everything ready for the nursery. However, we finally feel finished, accept of course for Anthony, ha!

Also, home ownership is great. We've had a lot of things done to the house. My dad and I recently painted our bedroom. We wanted to have it done before Anthony arrived, so we had a quiet place to retreat to.

38 weeks

We are at week 38! We can't believe it! We had a dr's appointment today and everything looks great. Dr. Blann did a quick check and he's head down.

He also told us if he hasn't come by next week, we'll schedule an enduction. We think, if we induce, it will be around the 1st of October. Please pray though that everything will still go naturally. Our goal is not to use any kind of medical intervention so we'll see how that goes.

Kris thinks the pregnancy is never going to end! We've reached the point where she thinks she's going to be pregnant forever, ha. She really is a trooper though. I can't help but be proud of her. Very few complaints!

A lot of people have been asking Kris and I where we have registered, and what we are doing the nursery in. Please don't feel obligated to get anything, several people have just been asking so we thought we'd post :)

We've registered at Target, and the nursery is being done the Classic Winnie The Pooh.

Kris has been having some contractions, and he's moving lower (we think). Everytime the phone rings, I get a little nervous, ha. All of my sups at work know so all I have to do is tell them and I'm out of here, ha. Pray that if I'm at work i don't kill myself in the car trying to get home, ha! :)

Parttime work and Pics

I'm looking for a part time job, please be praying that I find something to work around my full time job, ha. We're ok financially, but with Kris not working,having a parttime job will really help out. There's a lot we want for the nursery, ha :)

It Begins

So, we're about a month away from the due date (it's actually Sept.21st). Anthony has dropped, you can tell by looking at Kris's belly. By the way, next week were going to a park with Lily to get some pregnancy pic's so I'll post those as soon as I can.

I'm starting to get more nervous and excited as each day passes. Everytime she makes a sudden movement or exclaims in some way, my heart skips a beat. I'm filled with all sorts of emotions. What will Anthony look like? Will he be quiet and sleep or loud and awake all the time? Will he like me or not? Will he be like me or the complete opposite. Am I going to be a good daddy?

I go from being excited to be scared to being ready to passing out! We're busy getting the nursery ready which is a lot of fun. We've ordered a few things off e-bay and have some other ideas. As soon as we get it all together, I'll post those pics too.

Life in Lubbock is good. We were both just talkng about how glad we are to be back. There's just soemthing about being around AIMers and Sunset students that not like anything else. Well, we love you guys! :)

The Gym

We thought Kris was going to be working in my mom and sisters store this morning, so we got up bright and early 7:00 AM and headed into the gym. It's only my 2nd trip to the gym, but I am already enjoying it. I never realized how theraputic working out can be.

It's great getting up early and starting your day. I work afternoons so typically sleep in. I hate it though cuz I'm always groggy, etc. even at work. Today though, I'm feeling much more energized. We came home, found out Kris didn't have to work this morning, and have since cleaned the house. All before 11:00 am, ha!

Dad's coming over today and we're going to set up the furniture in the nursery. I'll try to get some pics posted once we get it all set up. I'll even try and get some snapshots of Kris again. She's gotten even bigger the last couple of days, and gets more beautiful every day!

We keep joking about when the baby comes how I'm going to react. I want to try and decieve myself and say I'm going to be calm, cool, and collected. (I can see the smiles being cracked as people read this) But we all know that's not going to happen, right :) I'll probably need the epidural more than Kris, ha! Anyways, love you guy

Week 34

That's right, today is week 34. Last Tuesday Dr. Blann said after next week we won't stop labor if it starts. Hearing that from him almost made me pass out, ha! Kris is doing really well though.

She's such a trooper. She hardly ever complains and usually always has a smile on her face. I enjoy seeing the daily changes occuring in her body now. It's also fun watching Anthony moving across her belly. We've seen his foot kick and of course I've felt it. I think that has to be one of the coolest things I've ever felt. How you can have a baby and not come out believing in God is beyond me!

We're getting into the groove of home ownership. It's SOOO much fun. Heretofore I always avoided places like Home Depot, but now when I have to make a trip it's fun. I can't come out of that place without seeing something we NEED for the house, ha. This week Kris and I installed a window ac unit in the bedroom to help keep it cool at night with her hot flashes and all, hahaha! I thought wow if only Kris's family could see me now, I would no longer be the girliest guy in the family ha!

We even managed to get some pictures hung in the house this week. We're trying to get the nursery ready (which by way is being done in classic winnie the pooh). We bought my sisters old baby furniture and got it moved in last week. Once we get it all in place I'll get some pic's posted and update some pregnancy pics of kris too.

We've also joined a gym! We went Saturday morning and had a good time. Kris swam and I took a yoga class, ha! I'm also counting calories. I've lost about 3 pounds so far, can you believe it.

Well, guess that's enough rambling for now. I'm going to try and do a beter job updating this sight so my blogs aren't so long! We love you guys, come see us sometime :)

Again, to say we've been busy is something of an overstatement, ha. The last few weeks of our lives have been CRAZY. I think I say that every post! We are now moved in and settled in Lubbock. It's funny because we still say things like wow, we're in Lubbock!

It's funny b/c I say settled but really we're not. Our house is full of boxes that need to be unpacked. We are excited though because we've had the outside of the house painted. It really looks nice and we've gotten lots of compliments on it. We like having it painted because it seems less like Rob and Denyces house and more like ours now!

This last weekend was the Ross family reunion. Kris comes from a big family, which is nice. We had a lot of fun. I preached on Sunday morning and did a great job if I do say so myself, ha! We're at 32 weeks now. Yesterday was 2 months from the due date. We're starting to freak out about that now, ha. While we were at the reunion, my mom and dad surprised Kris by painting the nursery. I don't have any pics of it yet b/c were waiting to get the furniture and a few more baby things. We're doing it in classic pooh. Well, guess that catches us up now. Wow, Lubbock :)

So, we're in Lubbock. Neither one of us can believe it. We'll be out running errands and we both just keep saying wow, Lubbock! It's great though, we love it. Being near family and friends truly is a blessing.

Let's see, it has been so long since I last posted I don't even know where to begin. So, we survived the time apart. Cheesyness and sappyness aside, it truly was one of the hardest 2 or 3 weeks of my life. I don't think I could do it again.

The move went relatively smoothly. Lots of people from our Sunday school class showed up to help us load in San Antonio. My mom and dad flew down to help drive up the truck which was nice. Lily had arranged for some people from here to help unload which was nice.

We're moved in but are far from settled, ha. We have all the boxes hidden away in the garage, the nursery, and the guest bedroom. We're in the process of having the house painted, and we hope to close Monday morning. Owning your own house is a lot of fun. We've already had to fix a toilet, and I've broken a window. I thought it was strange not having a landlord to call!

The pregnancy is moving right along. We've entered the 3rd trimester and are definitely feeling the affects. Kris is getting bigger every day and feels Anthony moving all the time. I've felt him kick a few times, which is one of the coolest things ever.

She's been pretty stressed out this week. The house is being painted, boxes are everywhere, stuff isn't all unpacked. Throw pregnancy hormones into the picture and guess how much fun we're having! Just kidding, you guys all know Krissi. She really is a trooper. I love her more and more with each passing day. Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy. We love you guys and come see us soon. Once the house is painted, i'll try and post some pics--Love Beau, Kris, and Anthony :)

Lubbock Bound

I'm sorry that it has been so long since my last post. Things around the Hart house have been CRAZY to say the least, ha!

To start, I am moving to Lubbock tomorrow. I start work there on Sunday, yikes!! Unfortunately, Kris's last day isn't until June 28th. She has to stay here four more weeks. Please be praying for us as we're apart during this time. Also pray for Kris, I'm afraid she's going to do too much packing, and shouldn't as she's pregnant.

Speaking of being pregnant, we had a little scare this week. Monday afternoon and night Kris went quiet awhile without feeling Anthony move. This continued into Tuesday morning, so we called the Dr. and they asked us to come. Thankfully, they listened to his heartbeat and everything was fine. She's 24 weeks so the Dr. thinks she may be too early to feel him move much. After hearing the news, we laughed thinking wow, we are new parents, ha!

Some good news though, Kris and I are buying Rob and Denyce's house. This is going to benefit both them and us. Please pray for us as we begin the process of buying a house. We're really excited, our first house! Well, guess that's it for now. Love to all--Beau, Kris and Anthony :)

Moving Home (to Lubbock)

Believe it or not, Kris and I are moving back to Lubbock! Southwest Airlines has an opening on their ramp in Lubbock, and we took it.

We will probably be moving to Lubbock in 10 days. We can't believe it, we're in shock, ha. It will be a good move though. As you all know, my family is there so we will have a lot of help with the baby. Also, we want Kris to work part time after the baby is born, and we can definitely afford to do this in Lubbock.

Please be praying for us over the next couple of weeks. Moving hurriedly and with a pregnant wife will be very interesting! Love you guys :)

Anthony Lynn Hart

That's right, it's a boy! We've named him Anthony (my middle name) Lynn (my dad's middle name). We were pretty shocked, but nonetheless happy! He's healthy and growing, we got some really neat sonogram pictures, which I will post later.

Not much to report

The last couple of days have been pretty uneventful. Kris did however go to Abilene for the weekend. Her mom's moving to Dallas so she went up there to spend a few days with her before she moved. Yep, Shaggy and I were bachelor's for the weekend, ha!

The pregnancy is going well. Kris is pretty much over the morning (or in her case afternoon) sickness. She's feeling different things now though, the most exciting thing being the baby move of course! We have another dr's appointment a week from today. We're praying that we will find out the sex of the baby then. Please join us in praying for a cooperating baby, ha!

Well, as I said, not too much to report, but want to try and do better at blogging!

Where does time go?

Seriously, time is starting to fly by at an incredible rate. I suppose it's because I'm AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH getting older. I always thought I would age gracefully, but apparently not. I told Kris we'd be celebrating no more birthdays after this year, ha!

It's amazing watching the changes that are taking place in Kris's body. Her stomach is getting much firmer, and much bigger! When she lays on certain sides, for example her right side, it begins to go numb. She moves She's beginning to feel the baby move! How anyone could go through a pregnancy and not come out believing in God is amazing to me.

As the due date draws nearer (fyi september 21st)certain fears start coming up. For some reason, I'm really starting to fear the birth itself. What if something goes wrong and I lose the baby, Kris, or worse both.

I begin to fear things like what if it's a boy who's totally into sports and I don't know anything about sports. My son is going to know more about cars, tools that kind of thing than I do. What if it asks questions I don't know the answer to? I feel my mom and dad knew the answers to everything.

Wow, I wasn't really meaning to get into all of that, I'm sorry! Anyways, things are going well for us. We're getting together for a bbq with some of our friends from church tonight, which should be fun. We're slowly getting ready for baby! It's strange seeing the baby things piling up in the spare room!

Going Green :)

Seriously, I'm the worse! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to blog, we've been busy working, working, and more working, ha!

Well, we had the sonogram last week and unfortunately, the baby didn't cooperate (ha!). It was facing down and had its legs crossed so we couldn't see anything. The sonographer said to come back up on our next appointment (which is in four weeks), and she'd do a quick sonograme!

Oh, and Krissi is starting to show! She has a little pooch. It's the cutest thing :)

Kris and I have decided to start going green! I'm really excited about this decision, and am looking forward to learning different ways to go green.

There's lots of ways to get started. (Denyce, you'll appreciate this one)! We're going to start out by buying organic and locally grown produce. I also want to start recycling, which isn't very easy in San Antonio, but we're going to do it anyway. Also, we're thinking about going with windtricity. This is something offered through your electric company, it uses the electricity generated by windmills (most of them based in West Texas).

I'm sharing this with you guys not to beat our own drum, but in the hopes of encouraging you to go green too! We love you guys!--Beau :)

The Big 29!

That's right, I turned the big 29 today. It hasn't really hit me, because I'm already freaking out about turning 30, ha!

No, God is good. I am very blessed and happy :) Although, do you want to know how I celebrated my birthday? Leaning over a toilet. That's right, I was sick! We went to visit Rob and Denyce. They were just getting over the virus, and I caught it. Happy Birthday to me :)

On Monday, we have another Dr. appointment and sonogram. We should then be able to see the sex of the baby! We're really excited and can't wait. We'll let you know once we find out! Love to all :)

I'm the worse

I must be one of the worse bloggers in the world! I'm sorry it has been so long since my last post. Thanks, Haley for the reminder :)

We've actually been pretty busy, both working and other things. We're really excited though because a week from tomorrow we have another dr's appointment, and we should be able to see the sex of the baby. People keep asking me what I want, and when I really think about it, I want a girl. Kris says though, if we have a girl, she'll have me wrapped around her little finger. Which, when I stop and think about it, she's right.

Man, I'm getting old. This next Thursday is my 29th birthday. I can't believe it! I'm freaking out about turning 30, and I'm only turning 29, ha! Kris's mom and her exchange student are here. We're taking them to Phoenix tomorrow to visit Rob and Denyce. Kathy (Kris's mom) has never flown before so please say a quick prayer for us, ha.

I have a lot more to say, but it's late and we're flying out early so I'd better go. I'm going to try and get some pics up soon. I've taken some of our new apartment, and now I want to take some of it being overflown with baby stuff. That's right, already, ha! Rob and Denyce gave us a lot of stuff (thanks you guys, we love you).

It just doesn't get better than this

This last weekend was AIM graduation and this week was Camp Adventure. Several of our friends were coming in bringing youth for the week so Kris and I decided to go to Lubbock to see everyone. It was a great weekend rekindling relationships with good friends.

While driving home Tuesday afternoon, I glanced over at Kris who'd fallen asleep. Shaggy had also fallen asleep in the back seat. I just thought how it can't get any better than this. My wife, my unborn child, and my dog all sleeping peacefully in the car. (I realize it may seem silly including my dog in this, but those of you who have animals know how much they become part of your family)!

God certainly is good to those who serve Him! Isn't it amazing how God rewards the Faithful? Two years ago, I moved to San Antonio. I was single and wondering if I were m going to get married. Now, two years later, here I am a husband and soon to be father!

God is good!

Diapers :)

Well, we did it! We bought our first diapers. Everyone has been telling to start diaper shopping now. We always laughed it off, ha. But, after another couple told us they'd been buying diapers for a while now, we bought our first (what do you call them) batch!

We walked through the baby section at Wal-mart, which might not have been a good idea, ha. Everything we looked at we "oood" and awwwwd", ha. We decided we want a girl after seeing all the cute little girl dresses, etc. Though there were several cute boy things too, so we're actually not sure, ha :)

We had fun, but it did feel funny buying diapers. Kris isn't even showing yet, but we bought them anyways, ha! Kris has been feeling sick the last couple of days. Please be praying for her. She said she's ready to feel the baby moving around so it seems more real, not just the sickness part, ha. We've started our 13th week and are almost done with the first trimester, yayyyy!!!!

Guess that's all the news for now. For those of you who live in Lubbock, we may be making a quick trip up this weekend (our weekend is Mond/Tues). Love to all--Beau, Kris and "Dot" :)

Here are the promised pics! The first one of "Dot" was taken at 5 weeks (the one that Christened it Dot). The second one was taken 9 weeks at our first official appointment. It's amazing the difference in size!

We had a great time at the Phantom last night. It was fun getting dressed up and going downtown to the theater (read theater with a snobby rich voice, ha)! We were not allowed to take pics inside the theater, but I tried sneaking a few (that didn't turn out too well). Love you guys :)

The Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera is showing in San Antonio tonight, and were going to see it with some of our friends from church. I'm really excited because I've never seen it before (neither has Krissi). We're going the whole shebang and are dressing up and everything. I'll get some pictures tonight, and will post the pic's of Dot soon, I promise.

Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately. There's not a lot going on with us besides work. It's funny because we still don't really feel pregnant sometimes. Kris is sick, but still not really showing. Our apartment however, is being overrun already with baby stuff. God certainly has blessed us with great family and friends.

I do have a quick prayer request. Because of our busy work schedules, were feeling very disconnected from church and friends at the moment. I only have 2 evenings off a week (usually Mond/Tues), so it makes it hard for us to get involved much in anything. Please pray that we can work our schedules out and get involved with activities in church.

Speaking of church, unfortunately we're not going to be able to make it to Tulsa. We both used our vacation time for this last trip. We're really sad and are going to miss everyone.

Back in the swing of things

I don't really have much to report, just thought I'd leave a quick post to say hello! Things are going well with us. We've gotten back into the swing of things after vacation, and it's nice. We had a good time but felt like we needed a vacation from vacation, ha!

We're really starting to get excited about the baby. We're receiving stuff from family and friends, which is great. Yesterday, Kris's boss (who goes to church with us) gave us a rocking chair and a recliner. God certainly has blessed us with great family and friends.

We're excited, but also in the wonder stage. We wonder how were going to raise this baby by ourselves, ha. We don't have any family here so we know it will be hard. We wonder how were going to find a good babysitter while krissi works. She's only going to work 2 days a week which makes it a little easier, but please be praying for us in this endeavour.

I forgot to talk about the dr appointment. It went really well. We found out we're now 10 weeks, and they've put the due date at September 20th! We have another appointment in 4 weeks, and another sonogram in 6. They said the next sonogram will let us know the sex, yayyy :)

We also wonder things like what colour eyes will the baby have. Will the baby inherit my love for reading and Krissi's love for math? It was great getting to see the baby on the sonogram the other day. I think Kris and I both teared up a little,ha. We may try and buy a scanner today so I can scan the sonogram pictures on

We're Home

Krissi and I got home this afternoon, and as the old saying goes, there's no place like home!

For those of you who may or may not have heard, we didn't make it to Australia. We tried, but the flights were just too full. We met one guy who had been trying for four days! At the hotel, the clerk told me that a fed ex employee had been trying for 6 days. So alas, we have yet to make it to Australia.

We were pretty down at first, and when we stop and think about not making it to Australia, we still get pretty down. But, we had a good time still. We spent a few days in Vancouver, a few days in Lubbock, and then a few days in Phoenix with Rob and Denyce. Kris held up pretty well, she's a good wife :)

Speaking of Kris, morning sickness has come, ha! Well, it's not really morning sickness, she gets sicker in the afternoon and evening. She hasn't thrown up yet, but she says she feels seasick/motion sick. Eating is always fun too, believe it or not nothing ever sounds good. It takes sometime to decide what to eat, ha!

We have a dr's appointment tomorrow, and are really excited about that. We think were around 8 weeks. We hope to get another picture of Dot, ha!

Australia Bound

We can't believe it, but our trip to Australia is approaching fast. We leave San Antonio Wednesday afternoon and it can't come quick enough, ha! It still doesn't seem like were going, and probably won't until we're actually on the plane.

Because we're non-revving (stand by) we're going a strange route. We're taking Continental Airlines from here to Vancouver, Canada. We'll stay Wednesday night in Vancouver and then fly to Sydney on Thursday on Air Canada. This is a strange route I realize, but it was the cheapest. We're flying stand by but still had to pay a little bit.

We're really hoping to sit first class. I listed us today and they told me if we look nice, they will sit us first class. I'm actually going to wear a tie for 15 hours, ha! Please pray that we get on though because the flight is filling up. I will try my best to post during the trip but were not taking our computer so I may not be able to. If not rest assured there will be plenty of pics when we return :)

Dot :)

Kris has been cramping for sometime so this weekend, we called her obgyn. The on-call Dr. answered and asked us to come in Monday morning. We were anxious as we headed to the Dr. at 9 a.m (and were there until 11:30). As far as we know, though, nothing is wrong and the cramping is merely related to the pregnancy. This was indeed a relief.

We had our first sonogram however, and got to see our baby for the first time(i will try to get the sonogram picture scanned on here in the next couple of days)! It was so exciting to see it. The sonographer was pointing it out and said this dot here is your baby. Therefore, for the time being, we have christened the baby "dot"!

It's so amazing to think how much I love Dot already. Dot hasn't done anything for me or Kris but we both love it so much already. It's definitely an amazing thing already, and it's just the beginning!

I did struggle a little at the dr appointment. I got a little whoozy when the dr was examining Kris. She wasn't in any pain but I still didn't like it. It's going to be a LONG 9 months and a LONG delivery, ha! Poor Krissi :) It was funny though the dr told me they have a couch in the delivery room so I don't have to see what's going on but can still be there, ha! Love you guys--Beau

Pass Out

Please don't get me wrong, I am SOOOO excited about being a dad. Everytime I see a baby now I want to go and hug it, and I keep thinking about Krissi and i being pregnant and can't help but smile.

Earlier though, Kathy (Kris's mom) sent out an e-mail talking about getting some baby stuff from Rob and Denyce for us. I read it through the first time and nearly passed out. I read it a second time and still nearly passed out, ha. I read it a third time and smiled while still almost passing out.

Multiple births don't run in either family, but I'm so afraid the Dr. is going to tell us he hears more than one heart beat. Wow, what would I do? I'm also alreay freaking out about cutting the imbilical (spelling) cord! Man, it's going to be a LONG 9 months, ha!

First of all, thanks to everyone for the messages and congrats! We still can't believe it. Though i have to admit, yesterday was freak out day, ha. I even became a little nautios (spelling) myself, ha!

We got more good news today, though. Kris's DR. called and her tests results for cystic fibrosis came back negative. We are so thankful to God and so relieved. Thank you guys so much for praying for this with us.

Kris and I have some great news to share with everyone! Yes, WERE PREGNANT!!!!!!! We can't believe it. We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy and SOOOOOOOOOO excited. We took 2 home pregnancy tests Sunday that were positive. This morning, we went to planned parenthood and took blood test which came back positive!

In guessing, the baby should be here sometime in mid to late September! We are still waiting for the results from Krissi's other test. Please be praying for us that those results will be negative! Thanks and we love you guys :)

Getting Older

Well, certain things keep telling me that I'm getting older and older, ha. Our last grocery shopping trip confirmed it even more. We had to buy me a huge thing of Tums, yes Tums! I seem to not be digesting my food well. Man I'm getting OLD, haha :)

I'm sorry i haven't been posting much lately. We've been so busy that I hardly have time to sit at the computer anymore. Things are going well for us though. We finally feel as though we've gotten settled into our new apartment. I will try to get some pics posted soon. I also need to get some pics posted of our new car.

Kris and I are getting ready for "date"night, ha! We're going to see the new National Treasure movie and to eat at chili's. It feels funny to be going out on a Saturday night. We haven't had a date on actual date nights in a long time, ha.

Just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know the insurance called on Friday. They are going to pay for the most of the test, accept for one. This was a great relief.

Please be praying for us though as we go in for the tests hopefully this week. We'll be glad to know either way, just knowing will be a relief. Thanks for all your prayers! Love and hope you guys are well :)

Cistric Fibrosis

I'm sorry that I haven't blogged in awhile, to say Kris and I have been busy is something of an understatement, ha! In the past three weeks we have driven to Lubbock twice and Abilene once. We've also moved to a new apartment and bought a new (used) car! I've also been on a relief schedule at work which means my schedule could be different from day to day as it has been. I hardly know whither I'm coming or going anymore, ha.

If that isn't enough, we've also celebrated our 1 year anniversary. I can't believe it. God certainly has blessed me. It's an amazing thing to have married your best friend. It's funny cuz people keep telling us the first year is the hardest, and Kris and I just keep waiting for it go get hard, ha!

Kris and I have now entered the we want children phase. Many of you may or may not know that several peopled in Krissi's family (including Denyce) are carriers for Cistric Fibrosis (Spelling). This means if I'm a carrier, our baby could have it.

Of course, we don't want to pass it on to our children so we're in the process of trying to get Kris tested first. It's an expensive test to have done out of pocked (around $400) so we're trying to get the insurance to pay for it. Unfortunately, most insurances will only pay for the test if your already pregnant. This doesn't make any sense to me but there you go. We've gotten all sorts of information from everyone in the family and have since passed it on to our dr and the insurance company. We're waiting to hear back and it's the waiting that is getting frustrating and hard. I don't think I'm a carrier but, we want to be sensible. We'd hate to pass this disease onto our children knowing we could have prevented it.

If Kris turns out to be a carrier, then I have to be tested. If I'm a carrier then we will just adopt, which of course isn't a problem, but if Kris isn't a carrier we have nothing to worry about. I'm sharing this with you all to beseech you for your prayers. It's becoming increasingly frustrating. Please pray for 2 things specifically: First, that the insurance company will pay for it. Secondly, that Kris isn't a carrier.

No Meat, Moving, 1 year

As usual, our lives are hectic as ever. It's funny, though because Kris and I have decided it would be less normal to have a regular week now than a busy week, ha.

This week a lot is happening. We've decided to have a no meat week. I can't believe it, ha. I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy. I don't know how to cook anything without meat, but i'm willing to learn. I think it will be good but my body's probably going into shock, ha.

Also, we're moving this week. We have to be out of our apartment by the 6th, so we're busy packing boxes and all that fun stuff. We've decided to hire movers this time, since there aren't any Aimers or Sunseters around, ha!

The other exciting thing happening this week is our 1 year anniversary. I can't believe it has been one year. We've been friends for so long it seems like it's longer. We already celebrated on our trip to Boston so we're not really doing anything special on the actual date.

#1 Kris and I are talking about starting our family. Though twins don't run in our family, I'm terrified we're going to have twins, triplets, quadruplets, or anything more than one, at the same time.

#2 I hate cleaning the toilets and the bathtub. Whenever it's cleaning time, I'll volunteer to clean two or three times more than my share just to avoid cleaning those 2 things.

#3 As previously stated, I LOVE ketchup. I would eat ketchup on anything if it didn't gross people out!

#4 I love to read. I would rather read than watch t.v. I'll read anything too from classics, to westerns, to romance, to thrillers.

#5 I'm already dreading turning 30. I turn 29 next year but am already freaking out about 30, ha!

#6 I love to travel. God blessed me with a job at Southwest Airlines that helps me travel. Kris and I have been soo many places in the year that we've been married.

#7 I truly married my best friend. I remember Krissi was always who I went to in good times and bad. God gave me a great friend and now a great wife!

#8 I am always counting. Every time I count, it has to end up 5 numbers behind the previous count. For example, if I end up on 10, next time I have to stop at 15. 100 though is the highest I'll count up to, then I start all over again.

Day Off

Kris and I had a great day off today! Believe it or not, we didn't spend a lot of money, or make a big purchase, ha. If you remember, we usually hate days off because we always spend too much money! We spent our day off today cleaning house, yay! Even Shaggy got a bath :)

We've been doing pretty well this past week. We haven't been up to much really, just work, work and more work! Though we got approved for our vacation time in February! We're going to Australia to visit Kris's teammate Kate and her husband.

We're also excited because we're going to be spending Thanksgiving in Lubbock with my family. Believe it or not, we haven't been to Lubbock since August, I think. I hear it's actually growing. Also, my mom and sister opened a children's boutique ( I don't really know what a boutique is that's what mom calls it)! So it will be cool getting to see that.

Home Sweet Home

Kris and I are home! We had a great time on our trip, but are very glad to be home, ha! I'll try and get some pics posted as soon as I can.

Kris found out while we were gone that she was wrong about her contract. Her contract isn't up until December of next year. I was a little disapointed, we won't be able to move until then. But, we both hate to break her contract so were going to stick around until then.

We are however moving apartments. Our complex is owned by AIMCO which has several apartments in San Antonio. Our current complex has a new office staff that we havne't been very fond of. We're moving back the complex Kris lived in before we were married. They were great and her landlady, Rachel, remembered us and is excited to have us back again. We'll also be saving about $80 n rent, which will be very nice.

So, in the next couple of weeks we'll be moving not cross country, but cross city, ha! We'll still have an extra bedroom though so come see us :)

Ruidoso, New Mexico

Kris and I are staying at my parents condo in Ruidoso. Rob, Denyce, and Malachi are here as well so we're having a great time.

We've been doing A LOT of nothing and it has been great. Malachi has been a lot of fun. We're heading out this afternoon to drive up the mountain and get a look at the view.

It's a bittersweet weekend because it may be one of our last visit with Rob and Denyce before they head out to Moscow. We're really glad they were able to meet us! Anywho, we'll be back in San Antonio Monday evening so I'll try and update my blog with pics then. I have several, ha :)

In Boston

Hey, guys! We're in Boston and having a GREAT time! The weather is BEAUTIFUL. Typical fall New England weather! The leaves are changing colours and are falling everywhere. It's apple season in the Northeast so today were heading to an apple orchard, and for a drive through the New England countryside. This afternoon were heading to downtown Boston to walk the famous freedom trail!

We've had a lot of fun with Billy and Melissa. Their two kids are wonderful. It's fun being here, makes Kris and I want to have kids even more!

I forgot the cable to attach the camera to the computer, so I won't be able to download any pics until we get back home. Don't worry though, i will have plenty of pics to share!

We spent Tuesday in Philadelphia. It was great getting to walk around downtown and get a feel for the place. It's an incredible city. It's full of our History (which of course I LOVE). It's got a vibrance of it's own to match NYC.

I also visited with some people from the airport which was nice. The airline industry goes by seniority. The more you have, the better schedules you can hold, etc. I found out I would be 5 out of 27! When I was told that that sold me, Philly here we come :)

Halloween Party

Krissi and I went to a Halloween party tonight with some couples from our class at Church. Let me tell you how much fun we had.

Three guesses who we are, and the first two don't count, haha! We actually won best boy and girl couple :) Well, we're off on vacation tomorrow! Yayyyy :) Look here for pictures to come, love to all!

It's a beautiful day here in the Alamo City. It's in the mid 60's I think! There's a cool breeze blowing and the sun is shining in a clear blue sky. I'm having a much better day than yesterday. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

Things are well for Krissi and I. Our vacation starts on Sunday and I can't wait! We leave for BOston and it's going to be a blast (check back here for pictures) Kris actually started her vacation Wednesday, lucky dog. She's been busy though doing homework so she doesn't have to do it on our trip!

Ok, well not really fire, and I haven't done anything all that extraordinary, but for me it is! I fixed the washing machine on my own.

So I had to call both Kris and Lily, but hey, I did it on my own. And well, all I did was take off the hoses and put them back on! I must say however, I am totally proud of myself.

I couldn't tell you the name of the tool I used, and I had trouble opening the tool box (didn't know there were latches on the top and bottom) BUT STILL I DID IT BY MYSELF! I feel like a whole new man today. :)

Small Disclaimer!

Well, you all know me and how I tend to get so excited I get facts wrong sometimes!

I've decided to post a small disclaimer regarding my last post on moving to Philadelphia. Kris and I are planning on moving to Philly, we are also looking into another couple of cities. It will all depend on who's hiring at the time, and where my seniority will be better.

I just wanted to make this disclaimer in case we move to say, Manchester, and everyone's like "you said Philly!" Philly is our number once choice so far, but were divided between Philly, Baltimore, Manchester (New Hampshire, Boston area) and possibly Long Island!

Well, I have some good news to share with everyone (NO WERE NOT PREGNANT!!!!!).

I am going to take a job promotion and in June of 08 Kris and I, Lord willing, will be moving to Philadelphia! I could get the promotion now, but our apartment lease and Kris's lease at the hospital aren't up until June. I realize that's pretty far off distance wise (we fly for free and can always come home) but we're both REALLY excited (and scared out of our minds ha)!

I will be going into what Southwest calls Operations. The Operations (Ops) agents are the ones who take your ticket as your getting onto the plane (though there is considerably more to it than just that). While the plane is on the ground, the ops agent coordinates with flight crews, ramp crews, etc. They are also in charge of making sure the plane is equally balanced weight wise, knowing how much fuel is going on or off, etc.

I will be making more money, and what's even better than that, I will get off the ramp. It will be less physically active (saving me from premature aging, ha). It's also an inside job. Plus, in the Northeast, I will have good seniority which means I will get better shifts (am instead of pm or closing), get most the holidays off, etc.

Please be praying for us as we prepare to move across country. We're both freaking out, ha. The cost of living is going to go up and the temperature is going to go down, ha! But, Kris and I both think it will be a wise move for my career!

Also, changing the subject here, today at Church Don Hollins (the gentlemen in charge of the Senior adult group at MAC) asked me if I would be able to teach class occasionally! I haven't preached or taught a class since moving to San Antonio. I felt very honoured. Please be praying for this endeavor as well. I'm really excited to get this opportunity.

Same Old Same Old

Not too much to report this week. Kris and I haven't done much but work, study, work, study, work, and study some more, ha! (well, Kris studies WAYYYYY more than I do)!

I've been sick the past couple of days, well weeks really, with yucky sinus stuff. I keep telling Kris now that she's a nurse, she needs to cut my nose off to get rid of my sinus's. She repeatedly tells me, she's not that kind of nurse, plus it would be unethical to work on her own husband, ha! :)

We had a date night this week, which was a lot of fun. We went and watched hmm, I can't remember the full name of the movie, but it's called the seeker, and something something. Anyway, total kid movie but we really enjoyed it. After that we treated ourselves to dinner at Chili's. It was splurge day for us, ha!

We're getting really excited because it's nearly vacation time again (I know I know, we're always on vacation)! We're going to trek up to Boston for a couple of days to hang out with Billy and Melissa Mcguiggan. They just had a baby girl and I can't wait to see her. Also, we're going to be there on Halloween so we may drive up to Salem (where the witch trials were held). After that, we're going to head to my parents condo in Ruidoso for a couple of much needed days of R and R :)

Senior Adult Ministry

After spending sometime in prayer, I've decided to become involved with the Senior Adult group at Macarthur Park. Those of you who know me well, know how much I LOVE history. Well, my love for history has also given me a love for older people. I love hearing them talk about the past, when they grew up, etc. I think we can learn a lot from them!

The Senior adult group at Mac is very active. They are always busy doing something either for themselves, or some kind of volunteer work for the church or community. I am really excited about this new mission and can't wait to get started.

Actually, I got started today. Once a month, they put labels on a mail out that goes out like the Christian Chronicle, so I went up today and helped out. It was SO much fun! They went on and on about how nice it was to have a young person up there, which was great for my ego(you all know how much I gripe about aging, ha)! I hope this little endeavor will help me to age more gracefully, ha.

They were so funny, I laughed the whole time. They would tease me because I told them how Kris and I go to bed at 9 pm, and how when I'm home, I can't go an afternoon without a nap. They said God must have sent me to them because I was just like them! It was also pretty cool because one of the couples is celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. I told them I haven't even been married a year yet and they really loved that.

Weekend Getaway

This last weekend, Kris had A LOT of homework to get done so she sent me packing, ha! I took a quick trip over to Houston to hang out with Guy and Nancy. It was a lot of fun, and Aspen is just as cute as can be.

It's funny though because for 27 years I was independent and did things totally on my own. Now, after being married 8 months, I almost can't function without Kris. While I had a good time, it wasn't the same without her. I can't fathom how some people can travel without their spouses!

Kris and I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying and have decided to really start a diet. I've joined a biggest looser competition with Haley and members of her family and friends. We're going to start counting calories, exercising, and drinking A LOT of water! I weighed 243 this morning, and by December 7 (for the contest) I hope to get down to 230.

Prayers Please (again :) )

Hey, guys! Knowing and relying on the power of prayer, I again have a prayer request for you guys. This is pretty hard for me because it's so personal, but because of recent events and really wanting to do it, I need the help of God and good friends.

I've recently put on quiet a bit of weight. I know a lot of people would probably call it marriage weight, maybe it is. But, already being big before marriage, adding on 30 pounds doesn't do me any good. I weigh more now than I ever have my entire life, and quiet frankly, it scares me.

With the recent death of William, and Kris and I beginning to talk and pray about starting our family, I am determined to really loose the weight this time. Again, what scares me the most is I can't seem to stop eating.

Please pray for Kris and I both as I really begin trying to loose the weight. Don't be afraid to ask me how it's going or to reprimand me if I need it! Ultimately, I'd like to loose 30 to 40 pounds by the time I'm 30 (which is 2 years from now). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Love to all :) Beau

1. I LOVE Ketchup

2. When I'm home alone, I love to squirt ketchup on a plate and lick it up (slurp).

5. My favourite colour is green (mainly dark but any shade is sufficient).

6. I'm TERRIFIED of bugs, snakes, and the dark.

The Funeral

Willie's funeral was this morning. He was truly an amazing man and I am blessed for having known him. I heard there was a count and was estimated at 600 people.

Jim Hall, the minister in Clyde, talked about what it meant to have hope, how that hope in Christ can sustain us at this time. It really made me think how truly blessed we all are. I just want to thank you all for the prayers and kind thoughts everyone has sent our way. I pray you're all well! God bless-Beau
